For FREEDOM
U•DANCE for Freedom started at the onset of Covid-19. Just months before the global lockdown on freedom, U•DANCE gave hundreds of women a chance to come together and dance their hearts out on behalf of those both suffering surviving the plight of human trafficking. We raised funds for a Dallas NonProfit, Rescue Her, as our first foray into the fight together, have since hosted a 2nd successful Dallas-based event, are hosting our third in Spring of 2027 and are bringing our missional dance movement to Colorado Springs...truly, the best is yet to come!

Get to know U•Dance for Freedom Leaders
DONA COOTER
Dona Cooter, hailing from Dallas, TX - has been dedicated to fitness instruction since 2016. Holding certifications in Pop Pilates and UJam Fitness, she stands out as a seasoned group fitness instructor. Dona is genuinely committed to helping individuals find community, enjoy their workouts, and improve their health. Beyond teaching, she's been actively involved in organizing fitness events throughout the DFW metroplex. Her combination of experience and passion has made her a respected figure in the Dallas fitness community.
ESMY LOCKE
A Seer. Builder. Connector. Esmy's passion is to see women from all walks of life, flourish.
In 2019 she founded 100G, a community of women empowering other women by supporting local shelters and creating events like U Dance for Freedom…a yearly event in Dallas Texas that raises financial support and awareness for survivors of human trafficking. Because of their humanitarian related efforts, 100G was featured in Voyage Dallas online magazine.
In addition to her work with U Dance for Freedom, Esmy has authored two books, Unveiled Voices, and, So, You Want To Hug A Cactus and serves as a cofounder of Mergent Media, providing a suite of Storybrand
Marketing, Media, and Publishing Services,
dedicated to bringing good stories to life.
